Since growing up in a small town in Southeast Ohio, she wanted to own her own company just like her father and grandfather. After graduating with associate degree in business management, she was the manager at a local family restaurant. After she realized it was not for her, she moved to Florida at the young age of 21. After years in the restaurant business in Florida, she wanted a different career path and entered construction. She worked for the largest MEP contractor in Southwest Florida, then got into general contracting. In 2009, Brandy moved to Kansas City where she started IBC as a trim carpentry company working for various general contractors. In 2014, IBC Traffic was added to the team to as the Kansas City Streetcar came into town. Ever since, IBC has become a force to be reckoned with. She also holds her Certified General Contract license in the State of Florida and Johnson County Kansas. Brandy is Wonder Woman because she is the strong force behind the company and is a warrior who will go into a battle to get the job done. She has intangibles that people will want to fight behind.
A farm boy in Kansas when he was younger, but now resides in Kansas City. Ron has only been in construction world for 5 years, but you would not be able to tell. He joined Team IBC in the middle of 2018 because he wanted to get back into an operating role. Ron has a lot of experience in many different areas going back to his days as a CFO, director of accounting, and assistant GM at many companies. He loves the feel of a small, family run business and that is exactly what he loved about IBC. Ron is Professor Xavier because he is the old wise man of the group. You have a question about anything, and you could go to Ron and he would have an answer for you.
Jeff grew up in Strawberry Hill where he started working at the young age of 13 washing dishes at a local country club. When he was young, he would not go out and play much. He watched the Discovery Channel, DIY shows, and learning how to make millions. At 18, Jeff joined the construction business as her jackhammered and cleaned up an entire gymnasium floor by himself. He has many job titles: laborer, apprentice, journeyman, general superintendent, estimator, project manager, director of field operation, and VP. Jeff has thrived in all of his roles which makes him so valuable to the IBC team. Jeff is Batman because he is very admirable and intelligent. He is always working early in the morning when it is dark, he could be Batman and we do not even know it.
Being from the Kansas City metro area and getting her start in construction by working on the KC Streetcar, you could say that Angie knows her way around the area. Formerly working in medical field and a licensed cosmetologist that wanted a career change for more of a challenge. She has always been fascinated with how the construction field operated. She began as a flagger and worked her way up to where she is now. Angie is Captain Marvel because she is ruthless when she is trying to get the deal done. She has a very good sense of humor and knows when to put her game face on!.
Heather was very impressed by Brandy’s drive and vision when they first met. They had similar ideas on how to benefit company and employees. She has been in the construction industry since she came to IBC in late 2018. Prior to working in construction, she worked in education and commercial banking fields. She called California home but moved to the Kansas City area 10 years ago. Heather is Tinker Bell because she brightens everyone’s day. She has a very wonderful personality that spreads through the people she is in contact with.
Born straight out of Kansas City, Tonya has been here her whole life. Working in secretary, clerk, and customer service roles before moving to the construction world in early 2018. She came to IBC in late 2019 as she has become a great asset to the team. Tonya is Storm because of her superb dexterity and courage. She is willing to take on any task and will improve on tasks when she sees fit. She is very organized and make processes much easier.
Joe is the leader of our traffic division. He has been in the construction business since 2008 and with IBC since 2018. Prior to working in construction, he worked in corporate security. Joe is originally from St. Louis, moved to Texas, but is now back in Kansas City for IBC. Joe is Wolverine because he is very honorable and has integrity. When it comes time for battle (bids), he is ready to take it head on. He is ready to step up to the plate when he is needed.
Joining the construction business straight out of high school which makes Chris have 22 years in the business. A Chillicothe, Missouri native that knows his way all around Kansas City. Being our lead map guy, he must know his way around every traffic job. Chris is The Punisher because he is willing to put the beat down on people to get a job done. He is not a madman because he is very rational with his decision making.
Mike is a Kansas City boy through and through. Growing up in Kansas City, moving to Lone Jack when he was 15, and now residing in Raintree Lake. He worked for his family restaurant and a law firm when he was younger, then decided he wanted to try out construction 11 years ago. He has been with IBC since 2017. Mike is Jack-Jack because he is a jack of all trades. Just like Jack-Jack his abilities continues to grow as he does. You never know what new trait is coming from him.
Jeromy joined IBC in November of 2018 as Pavement Marking Superintendent, bringing with him over 15 years of industry experience in pavement marking. Jeromy and his team specialize in the installation of pavement markings, utilizing paint, thermo, and epoxy. Jeromy uses his hands-on leadership approach to keep his team safe, focused, and driven. Jeromy is Cyborg because he is filled with metal in his body from past injuries. He is a very creative person and enjoys pavement marking more than anyone we know.
In late 2019, Ethan moved from Southeast Ohio to the Kansas City metro area and joined IBC. Working in the food industry, retail with technology, and the medical field, Ethan has a wide variety of different knowledge. He just joined the construction industry when he joined IBC. Ethan is Spider-Man because he is highly versatile and multitalented in many ways in our marketing department and is always coming up with new innovative ideas by thinking outside the box.
Shaun lives in Georgia but was raised in South and Central America as well as the Philippines. She has been working in the construction industry for 5 years now. She worked for Intel as she was in HR, public affairs, and community solution before coming to the construction world. Shaun is J.A.R.V.I.S because she is intelligent. She helps assist people when they need it and has a very calm tone under pressure. Her work is very detailed and organized.
